About NBA Ungogo Branch

Established 2014 · Inaugurated 12 May 2014 · Kano, Northern Nigeria

A Branch Born from Necessity

For many years, Kano State operated with only one NBA Branch — a single centre serving thousands of legal practitioners across the sprawling state. The growing demand for accessibility, efficiency and decentralised legal services made a new branch not just desirable, but essential.

The NBA National Executive Council, meeting in Lafia in 2013 under President Okey Wali, SAN, approved the creation of the Ungogo Branch. On 12 May 2014, the branch was formally inaugurated, marking a new chapter for legal practice in the Ungogo axis of Kano State.

Today, NBA Ungogo Branch stands with approximately 390 financial members — a vibrant forum for legal practitioners committed to the rule of law, citizens' rights, and the advancement of legal education.
